My Philosophy in One Word:   ~ nonduality ~

I am Robert Terrell, the abstract artist (and haiku poet am I). I create paintings, wall sculptures, functional art furniture, clocks, and whatnot doodads that hang on walls (sometimes). I've been doing this for a very long time now ... since my first year of school, maybe earlier. But I got the big ego rush in first grade when the teacher held my drawing up in front of the class and told them how much she liked it. Then she kept it. I never saw that drawing again, after I worked so hard on it. "Where is my drawing, Mrs. Fincher?"

How have things changed for Robert Terrell Artist since then? I don't use crayons on manila paper as much. I don't create farm scenes filled with children that often. I don't give my art to faculty for any reason whatsoever. But, my art still has a strong linear component, with lots of colors, usually. (Haven't gotten past the coloring inside the lines thing. I guess!).

Graduated TTU art school (my bio, resumé, exhibition list, etc. are available... Email if you want to see them!) got into galleries, sold art, didn't sell art, etc. etc. Now Robertterrell.com is the "official online art website and sales website for me, Robert Terrell." It exists to further the production of art for people (and teachers) to hang on their walls at home. I know that's what you did, Mrs. Fincher! :) (It's good!)

Usually my brain is exploding ~ hopefully with creativity ! Gotta keep it busy ! How am I doin' America? (and anyone tuning in from elsewhere around the internet e-globe?) Well, I will keep doing something creative, no doubt, with or without the approval of other people, Alex, Shumi or Bunhildy (the last 3 are my indoor cats). Other people are you who may be reading this. But hopefully you do approve of some things you see here ...

Now I gotta get back to writing some haiku poetry : My Haiku World. One of my haiku blogs. I have others...

But what does all of that have to do with what I said about my "one word" philosophy of nonduality, you may be wondering? Or maybe you are not? Well, I don't have too much to say about it. And that's really because whatever I might say is going to be part of "duality" or splitting off. Yes, duality is part of nonduality. Nothing is excluded... I know.

"One without a second." I guess it's good to say that sometimes. That's all I've got. But if you're determined to find out more ... more about the "I" of me is revealed in the haiku. There are a lot of them...
