I was trained in art school as a 2D artist, in painting and drawing. Since then (art school was quite a long time ago) I've expanded into a lot of 3D work in my art, but most of the time my work is still basically 2D oriented. A professor~mentor, Jim Howze, said my work is 2-1/2D. That is as good an explanation as any.
I do love to create art furniture. That has its own section, as it's a little different, I think. The art process isn't very different, but the end results are.
