About My Art Making Process
My artwork, whether it is painting, wall sculpture, or art furniture, seldom represents a totally abstract or non-objective frame of reference. I usually prefer to mix abstract, geometric, landscape, and non-objective elements into a personal, visual language. This keeps me interested in the surprising outcomes as each work progresses. A narrative of process is a rather accurate description of how my art gets made. Finding the "end" of each mixed abstract and semi-representative painting usually means reaching a place where the view is a "good one." Each creative peak reveals higher ones further in the distance. This description is certainly not a particularly novel one in the art world. It is one that fits my artmaking experience rather well.
