I am Robert Terrell and I have been designing, building and installing corporate art for 20 years.
Corporate art is one of my favorite art processes. I enjoy working with the art advisors, CEOs, art galleries...all the interested parties. My intent: to design and create artworks that enhance and enliven the corporate environment, without distracting from the working nature of that environment.
I will work with your ideas, and your color swatches, chips, etc. to create the corporate art you need for your spaces. The final result usually transcends and artistically exceeds what both the client (you!) and the artist (me!) had originally envisioned for the work. This is the magic of art, and why I am still in the game.
The dimensions of the commissioned artwork are not an issue for me.I have created corporate commissions consisting of multiple pieces 6 feet long each. Even larger installations are possible; the works can be built and re-assembled in parts. Therefore, artworks of practically any size are quite possible.
My art commissions process is understood best as consisting of two parts:
1. Maintaining base parameters of the commission - size, base colors and style.
2. Allowance for creative "movement" within the base parameters - color variations, and some creative "wiggle" room on shape and size. Overall size will remain within the base parameters. A 5% to 10% size and shape allowance for creative fluctuations will make a positive difference in the final outcome of the artwork. I have an extreme awareness of art ~ environment interaction and placement. No size or shape changes will ever be made which detract from the appearance of the artwork itself or in its space.
Initial phase of the commission
Each commission begins with a discussion of what you intend for the space or spaces. This can be successfully accomplished by phone (806) 224-6156 or
email.
Beginning work on the commission
I ask for no project design fees, but I do require a 50% deposit before I begin work on the actual project.
Shipping the artwork
Shipping of art is free in the continental U.S. If the art is to be shipped overseas, or to Alaska or Hawaii, the rates will be negotiated. I am not in the shipping business - it is simply how the art gets from my studio to your place of business.
