Glass & Wooden Tops Allow For a Wide Range of Table Possibilities
I usually create art furniture pieces on a commission basis, but they have always been a part of my continuing art process. Now (2008) I am mostly focusing on other art styles, though the functional art furniture continues to hold great interest for me.Creating furniture gives me the best of all worlds. It has 3D building and sculptural possibilities inherent in its structural form; it has the opportunities for painting, both as a 3D object and in certain 2D possibilities; and, it has the added creative possibilities of the crossover between the two.
And with a glass top giving it the practical furniture solution, the "table structure" can go much further in an art direction. So needless to say, I feel great enthusiasm for the glass top art tables.
But, at the same time, I seldom feel any loss of creative possibilities with wooden top tables, either. I guess what I am saying is that I like building art tables. So why not commission one? Each one is a unique, one of a kind table.
I have many ideas waiting to take form. They are floating in the ether, or in this case, the "ethernet." ha ha All you have to do is email me, and tell me what you have in mind. Then my art process will begin to expand upon the ideas, and who knows what sort of wonderful, creative art table will end up in your space?
